Alta Mora

Alta Mora wines are made from grapes from the steep slopes of Mt. Etna in Sicily, the largest active volcano in Europe. Alta Mora means "tall and black," which describes the black volcanic soil of the vineyards that are at an elevation of nearly 11,000 feet. A new project from the Cusumano family, Alta Mora wines are a break-through, offering light-bodied wines that are food-friendly and ageable with beautiful fruit.

This light straw colored wine has fresh and fruity aromas of pears and lemons. The texture is full, crisp and clean with a touch of minerality, reminiscent of Sauvignon Blanc.

Alta Mora Etna Rosso DOC 2014

Ruby red in color, this wine has spicy pepper aromas with notes of black currant and mountain herbs. The texture is vibrant and with soft, supple tannins, reminiscent of a great Pinot Noir.
